What Wimskies is

Four things we care about

A winter sports brand built around movement, mates and the daft joy of a good snow day.

Playful apparel

Colour, character and cuts that move. Kit you will happily wear on the drive home.

Gear that works

Considered layers, mitts and shells chosen for long days rather than showroom shelves.

Community ride days

Group meet-ups through the season with a regroup point and no one left behind.

Trip planning made easy

Snow conditions, kit lists and simple checklists so a mountain weekend stays fun.

How it works

Three steps from sofa to first chair

No spreadsheets, no faff. Wimskies is meant to shorten the gap between wanting a snow day and actually having one.

01

Check the snow

Open the snow report for a quick read on base depth, fresh snow and how many lifts are spinning.

02

Sort your kit

Run the gear finder, tell it your ability, terrain and the forecast, and get an outfit combination back.

03

Ride with people

Pick a ride day, turn up at the meeting point and lap the mountain with a friendly group.

Who this is for

Example scenarios

Illustrative rider types written to show who Wimskies would speak to. These are examples, not real customers.

The weekend regular

Two or three days a month, knows their home hill, wants kit that lasts a full season.

The family group

Mixed abilities and short attention spans, needs gentle terrain and a warm meeting point.

The mountain town local

Rides midweek mornings, cares about a quick check of the snow before leaving the house.

The returning skier

Back after a few winters off, replacing kit and looking for a friendly group to ride with.

About the name

Where “Wimskies” comes from

Wimskies is a personal winter sports identity: the name Wim joined to skiing. It reads like a nickname shouted across a car park, which is exactly the point.

The name carries the idea that your winter has a character of its own. Wim is the person with the loud jacket and the mismatched mitts. Skies are the mornings you get up early for. Put them together and you have a brand about the freedom of movement rather than technical spec sheets.

  • Wim

A short, friendly given name with a bit of mischief in it.

  • Skis

The kit, the sport and the reason for the early alarm.

  • Skies

Blue-sky mornings and the sunset lap that ends the day.
